Merry Christmas!!! for the past couple of days I have been really inspired on the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is not about Christmas gifts, or about santa, or spending alot of money on other people. Christmas is about reflecting on when the pressence of God was manifested on Earth by Jesus Christ.

What Christmas is about is your family and friends coming together to show love to one another, and helping others in need. I have been inspired by this thought so next Christmas, I want to raise money for a local orphanage and donate the money and buy gifts for the little kids who are there.

Christmas should be showing your love to people, and helping those who are less fortunate than we are. I think that the culture has created Christmas as a day of when you can tell how much someone loves you, by what they buy you, and thats not what Christmas is about at all- Christmas love is what you do by helping someone else have a better day, and bring a smile to their face, Christmas is not about receiving but it is about giving, and not giving because you are expected too. Giving cheerfully. I think that a great christmas action would be, serving your loved ones in random acts of kindness, and serving your community through acts of kindness as well, and next christmas, and from here on out, that is something that I want to help participate in, join me in this venture of bringing joy to others and not just your self, do something great this holiday season, and again Merry Christmas

getting connected, learning about ok

this past weekend was really difficult but interesting. im saying that because on friday I got a letter from my school telling me i lost my scholarship....that sucked, but they gave me the oppurtunity to appeal it as well; and thats where it became difficult @. because that same day the first big snow fall in 7 yrs hit! I don't have mircosoft word on my dads computer at home, so I would have to go to the library instead to write my paper, however because of the storm, i couldnt go :( so the entire weekend was difficult because all i could do was stay in the house and think about what I was going to do, and how I was going to write my appeal paper. also over this weekend well not even this weekend, during last week God was really working on me becaus of this whole its going to be "ok" thing. like i said in my past blog-a revelation. I discovered that when God says its going to be "Ok" that doesnt mean that things are going to go my way-but God is going to workout it for my betterment. and right now, where I am standing at I just don't know what "ok" means...and its really frustrating, but im just holding to what it says in Phil 1:6, and trust that God will bring me through this situation. I guess that life is only fun when there is adventure, and their is now def a adventure for how I am going to complete my education.

I have now fallen into the culture I couldnt stand the peer pressure of the Nation, so I finally got a twitter, now I have the trinity of social networking in my life: facebook, Blogger, and now Twitter, so I guess now if anyone is really that concerned about knowing me, they now can

a revelation

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:11-13

I woke up this morning, and I had this revelation. I am experiening a very difficult time with my finances of going back to school, and I woke up this morning reflecting on what God means when He says its going to be ok. God's ok is not always going to be what I want...but his saying its going to be ok means that He is still in control of the situation and that the situation is not going to kill me, but it will help me become more like Him.

VA summer camp recap

well this past week, was fun and challenging. this week we were leading ministry for the camp. i got the opportunity to speak/talk/preach. during the morning bible study. during the day, i spent time with the campers participating in games and activites! it was awesome spending time during the day having the opportunity to play games and spend time with the campers! it was challenging because i didnt get the opportunty to get to know ppl as much as I would have wanted too. during the week I also helped out praying for ppl. and trying to help ppl understand what God was doing in their lives.

Cog Delmarva Camp Meeting

well....the 1st mission of 8 is completed! it was a really, really exhuasting time! we ran the childrens church. i was the preacher for the week. and i think that the kids really got the point of the messages, which is really awesome. I gotta a chance to act crazy for the 1st time and actually be rewarded for it. haha. we stayed in the Holiday Inn express for the week. this week was also very VERY challenging for me; im still not sure of my role as far as being the summer interm, this week i was treated like a student, but not completly....but not really given any responsibilities or privliges. it was a very confusing time. a week ago i felt like i had more authority for the upcoming summer, and now...im not so sure. but in any case it was defentally an experience. and it went by really fast. its been a week and already. Tim the Director of Mission Baltimore I should sleep before summer team gets started, he wasnt lying haha. well im off to bed, we leave for Pa Summer camp bright and early at 10am in the morning! yay haha

today was a waste of time during alot of the day. this morning i went out seeking to find heliuem for a heliuem tank. i travelled in the pooring down rain and traveled 45min down the road got lost due to bad Mapquest directions, then realized that every place were I was sent to find heliuem didnt sell it. then we went to a cookout, that went well. then when i came back to the center, i spent another 2hrs trying to find a place to watch clothes...again to no prevail, so im going to bed, to read the entire book of the mark.

well....today was a busy day! today i re-wrote all of my sermons, created a couple of skits, and ran around town. um....tommarrow starts the personal development plan for the students. im really excited about seeing how we all do, the program is very aggressive and very fast paced. but i think that we will all get through with flying colors, i may change my mind in the next few coming weeks. ok...i g2g 2 bed we leave 4 Deleware early in the AM. oh and i also now understand that I will be the ....only leader going to the summer camps. idk if in going as a leader, or just another tag along, but i guess that will b seen soon.

start of summer team...kinda a blunder

today was the 1st day of summer team! and boy oh boy it was an interesting day. not because of anything out of the ordinary but I don't think I was expecting the kind of maturity the student have here. today this morning I lead devotion and i talked about what it means to be a leader, we discussed Matthew 20:22-27 and philippians 2:1-13. after that we discussed the discipleship program for this summer, its preatty rough, and the students were not to happy, I mean really not happy, im going to talk to Tim tommarrow about what he thinks we should do as far the discipleship goes, i really don't want to change it, but as one of the students put it, who am I to come in not knowing the things that they have gone through, which is very true. idk what I am going to do.

today was also the strategy meeting for summer team, and I have been appointed by volunteering....to be the guest preacher for the next week at the Delmarva summer camp! today i prepared 6! 6! sermons ....it was crazy. but its done, im happy with the first 3 but it still has room for improvement. and I hope to shave them down more to make them more concrete. i have never spoken in a childrens church, this will be very inteteresting. well its 12:07am im going to bed. me and Mike are having breakfast tommarrow, EARLY before everyone else wakes ups to do calistetics.

today was very chilled day, ...for the most part. i delegated chores for people, watched movies, helped some more students return: Rachel and Angela. and prepared a summer discipleship program for the everyone! its going to be intense...but I think that this will be awesome for everyone, Tim is even going to get into the action! thats about the majority of the day. im going to bed, NOW because 2morrow well...really today its 12:27am is the first day of the actual intermship!

mechanical difficulties

today was the longest saturday... i think i have ever had, and no im not embellishing... im not even going to catagorize the stuff that happend. this is the story.

I woke up around 8 this morning, expecting a phone call from Charity, which is another student who just got back from summer break, she will be apart of the summer 2009 team; and amanda was also her mentor! she said that she would be boarding her plane at 8:30, Charity is from Arkansas but for some reason when she told me 8:30 i thought she meant 8:30 our time, well she meant 9:30 our time, but by the time I got up i couldnt fall back to sleep haha. i went to the student center too eat breakfast, by the time i finally sat down, the people who are buying the dream center property came in and asked me to get a ladder, fair enough i thought....well after we got a ladder, the pastor of the church wanted a key to work the water hydrenant and I had no idea were to look for it at, so me and him had a tussle, until we got in contact with Tim, i got the pastor the cork screw, to then realize that the door to the boys bathroom broke off, i spent 45 mins playing with it trying to get it fixed, unfinished with the work to be done, i returned out side again to help the men who were with the church who were buying the property move the ladder back to the shed, to only find that there was a trespassor on the property...and he wasnt all there...if u know what i mean. i returned back to the office to continue working on fixing the door nob. all of this took place before 12 in the afternoon, following this i took the van down to pick up charity from the airport. when me and her got back we decided to watch a movie, however, when we started west side story we were both falling asleep watching it, so we decided to go to shoppers and go to red box. heres were the fun began, the van worked getting us there, but it didnt start going back :( me and charity tracked a mile back to the center, i had to come back with kayla, and thanks be to God it started again. and no it wasnt a power issue, the van had two; TWO!!! cars hooked up to it, and it wouldnt budge...im just so glad God made it work :)

that was my day today...I hope i wont have a day like this again for a really long time.

ok its 12:17 in the morning, but i feel compelled to write also about how I am feeling this summer, again this has nothing to do with the Mission Baltimore, or anything to do with my intermship from Lee. but this is some cold hard truth. this is a pg 13 paper. what im going to say, alot of people are not going to like, but i just want to get this off of my chest.

Gorrilla Warfare.

I feel as if the enemy (the devil) has placed the world into gorrailla war fare. what seems wrong seems right....Soulja Boys-crank that. talks about...."a guy who spreads his seed" on a girl while shes asleep. and everybody and there mother loves this song, does anybody see something wrong with this; people are watching television now where they expect to see a man and a women have intercourse...the intercourse isnt seen but its implied. I can't speak for moms and women, but fathers telling there son that theyre not men until they have had sex. women are wearing clothes that they wouldnt even wear to the beach around communities. what is wrong seems good but what is right seems wrong. television shows now have fowl langugage in them and know one seems to mind. people are having homo-sexual relationships and not even thinking about the cost. [...and this is hard for me to write because two of my friends are now homosexual all just within one year.] abortion. people don't care about ending not even born childrens lives to make there lives [the parents of these childrens] lives more comfortable, why does a unborn child have to suffer because two people made a bad decision. when did sex b4 marriage, and teen pregancy become acceptable, ... when did we come to accept people drinking around town around children who can be easly influenced. again what seems wrong seems right or ok. when you get the internet, facebook...which yes i have a facebook...who know in this current time does not have a facebook. when you get on facebook. first thing that you see as advertisments are skantly clothed women...for some dating site. its ok now to drop the F bomb in a pg 13 movie. every time you look at a music video now adays, what do you see, you see some rapper and then some girl dancing in her underwere. when did wrong become right. when did it become alright for us to not care for the homeless, the poor, the sick and the shut in.

what happend to living right. sex after a ring, fathers need to teach there sons besides of your not a man until you have had sex, that you need to man up to take care of your responsiblities. when did it become wrong to listen to christ centered music, when did it become acceptable for people to have other people stumble in there walk with christ all in the name of freedom of expression. now when people see some one dressed modestly, or carry a bible theyre looked upon as being weird, and not being right. now when people ask others to not curse, or not smoke or to not listen to music with profantiy; these peopel are now considered as people who have a stick up there butt. thats not right, God called of us to be his children, and we need, we need to come back to God. the bible is so true by what it says in 1st peter 4. we need to live as Christ as called us to live, not to be satisfied with the world and be in it, but to be the standard for how we are to live.

we're in a war, were in war with the most powerful warlord ever. the devil, and the Devil has the ultimate spy, and it knows our every weakness, its our flesh, we gotta kill it, we gotta kill the flesh for acts of treson against the body of christ.

im not writing this to say that i am some saint, I am saying this to say as a light to those in the darkenss who are trying to live on both sides, we must stand up for what is write. God did not call us to be punching bags, and to be passive in our lives, lets worry about evangelizm inside our ownselves before we do it to the world. the devil is a raging lion as the bible says who wants to destroy its pray and if we continue along these lines we will become the prey and not the guardinans of it.

stand up. take action. disciple yourself to know christ, and to know the difference between holiness and what the world calls holiness.

rising through the ashes-man of the house

the mission helped me to discover my stengths and my weaknesses, and through the ashes I discovered who I was in christ-Lauren Shores, Mission Baltimore

today was the start of setting up for camp meeting, and the start of me trying to develop James. one went really well, and im not too sure how to get the other off the grown haha. and it was also my 1st day being the man of the house.

well yes set up for camp meeting went well. I told someone that i felt useless because I wasnt being used for anything-the 1st 30mins or so i sat on the alter like a bumb on the wall because i had know idea what Tim, James or david-David another pastor who works with Tim at Freedom Christian Church-which again is the church Tim pastors. so me and amanda who felt the same way 1st went off to help take down chairs, and throw away dirt-when i took the trash out I was too short to pull it back out of the dumpster haha. u,... well after that was done, i said i feel useless because im not doing anything, and one of the leaders...i think his name was bob connely said ok well ive got some stuff u can do, and i said awesome. I took light beams into a shead, i painted parking stops, and road posts next to the street. I met the state Youth Director today brother Fred Abbot! he treated us all out eat for lunch, and yumm is all i need to say. he brought us all hoggies! i ate my worth and some other peoples too, ...they didnt want it. after lunch me and amanda took down plastic off of the sky lights inside the arena....i tell u thats a way of getting over your fear of heights...i dont have ne, but if i did that would do it! haha

um...now the other part of idk how to get it off the grown. im working on developing a mentoring relationship with James. and its hard. its hard because in some ways he's just like me; or how i used to be, he has a problem with authority, and he's a rebel, which is fine i was the same way. haha. but theres just some other things too. its just going to be hard. but we did spend some time taking down and putting up some tile in our room, a couple of days earler the tile on our roof, pt of it feel out because of the intense thunder storms. but im going to make that boy grow, i hope. im just trying to find out about him first. I told 2 of my friends. that he will either think im one of the best guys he's ever known, or he's going to hate me haha by the end of the summer. but im going to try to take him to the fire so that he will emerge through the ashes and become greater then he was when i first met him.... and i think that this will be good for me too, because im going to go every mile right along with him...its going to be tough, but it going to be worth it.

as Tim put it the disciples/students don't need friends, they need mentors! and thats what im going to be for James, im going to try to put some spirtual fertalizer on this boy and see along with Tim and Mike if we can make him grow like a spritual red wood.

also today we all said good bye to robert Southal, who is now on his way to becoming Pastor Robert! im so excited for him. with the moving on of Rob ive been given the job of man of the house for the summer...this is prob going to be given over to mike, seeing as he is actually on staff, and im just the interm haha. but as of right now im the man of the house haha. Rob last night took me around and showed me where all the keys are, which ones do what, and how to lock stuff up. and thats what i did this morning. and what Im about to do now.

some good food

today was a really chill day. same ole office hours, i spent some time with my mentee' (James) its really interesting right now, im not used to having to pull ppl to do stuff. i created a personal development plan for james as well, and will talk to Tim about it tommarrow, i hope its not to difficult for him. its managable, but its def not easy. um well the keys to the van were finally passed over to me. and it now seems as if im the point man for tim, to the rest of the team here. haha he calls at such the most inconvient times haha he doenst know it...i was knocked out cold in a nap when he called me today. we are now preparing for another regional camp meeting over in the deleware area. today we checked all the equipment for the recording information, and packed the van. following this a family Sandy and Jim and there two children Logan and maggie came over and cooked us all a dinner. it was really really good....so un healthy though haha. we had chicken and dumblings, with hugh bisquets, stuffing, and some green beans. haha. we also had choclate cake, but i couldnt eat it, darn old bodybuilding contest diet...i pretty much destroyed my diet today anyways eating all those carbs haha. um. and yeah that was my day.

tommarrow i g2 get ready to leave at 7:30 in the am. so im going to sign off

also today is the last day of one of my co-workers. Robert Southfall. ive only known him for 2wks but he has grown to be a person that I have trully admired as a completly sold out child of God and have come to really like as friend! i only wish I had more of an oppurtunity to get to know him earlier....he's to heading off to PA to become a Youth Pastor at a church in hanover...or somthing like that in PA. he's been here for 3yrs Mission Baltimore is going to lose a good guy tommarrow...well idk how good of a guy he is, but he is a guy who i have def grown to love as a brother in christ, and i know that he will do some awesome things while serving in his pastoriate in PA. im gonna miss that guy.

growing forward

well today....today is the start of my developmental process of being a leader. this morning was just another morning just like any other. office hours... following that me and Rob washed the churches van. I then took the keys for the 1st time and drove the churches van! and went to pick up James a disciple student from the airport. I never expected what too happen. when I was leaving from church which what we did next after picking up james (go to church) Tim said thanks for picking up James for me, and I need your personal development plan for him asap. and i was like, really you want me too do it? he looked at me and said...duh thats why I had you do the mentor program. so...I am now sitting in the office and typing this with James behind me, and thinking to myself...what am I going to do....I don't know, but I know that my job this summer is to make him a better person. and a more devoted christ follower. this is going to be challenging for me, because ive never done this before, i know NO PRESSURE HAHA. well stay tuned folks, my summer has just added a new demension to development.

well today was the start of another work week with the Baltimore mission. yesterday my mom and I had an awesome time going to the eastern shore and spending time with one another :). um today I did some more office hour work. I contacted the summer team, and coordinated there arrivals back to Mission Baltimore dream center. Tim gave me a short laundry list of general stuff to do: I.e pick up the trash, do lawn work, pick other people up from the airport, etc. from here until the time of the return of summer team, im BUSY!!!

I also talked too Amanda and Lauren, which as I have been saying are current students here at the Mission. and we got into a conversation about how the Mission has helped them grow, and about how the Mission selects people. I think its an awesome thing, people weed themselves out of the mission, before the mission even looks at there application. Amanda who is a student here, but is also the admissions councler, told me that when she tells people about the mission she is very candit, and doesnt hold anything back, about how the mission is intense discipleship. and people make there decision that it is or is not for them. she then asked me if I would have done mission b4 i went to Lee. and I told her more than likely yes, because of how people who go back to college for example at the college im at Lee University, these students are just so much more prepared and studeus then other incoming freshman are.

I also asked her what the year is like for students. she said its hard on both fronts, both freshman and sophmore year. freshman year because its just intense...you cannot talk to a person of the opposite gender alone for more than 5 min and other stuff like that, the Mission forces people to focus on God, and through the ashes of the difficulty people grow. Lauren told me that she grew through the difficulty and she saw her weaknesses and strengths and how she learned to deal with these truths. I told them that a big reason why i wanted to start Equip at Lee is so that people could grow and mature just as people do at the mission. this was a really informative time for me, to understand life through people in the mission.

this summer is looking out to be an amazing summer of growth. and im super excited about it, 7 days till Missions Summer team 2009!!! its going to be amazing!!!

well before i had the oppurtunity to finish this blog, i met this lady Ms. Jean. and just made my day, she said some scripture that was really edifing to a situation, God is so cool!

weekend with the Boss part 2

well the weekend is over, and I am gearing up for my sabbath. its 12:43AM and I couldnt be happier if i woke up 12hrs later. this weekend lets see what did I do, well at the mens retreat we shoot skeet, and 12 mm Ive never shot a Gun a before... well from a distance, I once shot a brick while I was in alabama visting a friend and going to a revival. um, I saw a rattle Snake! im not too big on snakes so that wasnt really exciting, but it was def a high light O! and my big claim to fame, my team was the undisputed tug of war champions!!!! the retreat was way way way out there, the site of the camp didnt even have a road sign haha. you had to go 4 wheeling just to get there. it was an awesome time to get a chance to fellowship and meet some of the guys at the church. this was good for me too, to connect with Tim and his family. they were so hospitiable. Tim even let me drive his truck today to his son to band reherashal. that truck had a v8 whoa that was a lot of power behind a wheel haha. um and today I returned back to the dream center to go out to ledos pizza, ....im starting to c that me and pizza that is greezy don't get along. the final thing that happend today, was me and robert went down to the harbor and got a chance to connect it was a good time.

I was looking for the scripture that was preached on today...however its 1am in the morning and I can't remember what the refrence number was. however in church today the message was about becoming more intament with Jesus. I hope that amoung all the craziness of ministry this summer that this will stay my focus. Loving Jesus!!!

meeting the boss

Today was a pretty fun day. I again spent the majority of the morning doing office hours. I actually made out going phone calls today...it was only 2, but still I made some official phone calls. um...me and Tim went out to a lunch meeting with another local pastor. the pastor we met up was the guy who was in charge of running childrens church during the past week so he was still exhausted. following that I helped Tim out at his church washing and cleaning poster windows. and tonight and tommarrow i will be spending the night with him and his family. its been fun getting a chance to connect with the boss so far.

I asked tim how he moved into ministry. and he told me that he came and just served his pastor. i was telling him that I learned that lesson once when I was a freshman at Lee. the state overseer of Louisiana taught me service as a leader by having me was an entire store house...Tim laughed at me, I told him that I really didnt like him during that weekend. Tim said you didnt need a friend u needed a leader, and thats what he was for you. mentoring full circle in one week. haha

the calm after the 1st storm

today was a very chill day compared to all they other days. all I did today was office hours 9-12. then I spent the rest of the day connecting with the other people here. Kayla, Heather and me watched bedtime story, and then Lauren and Amanda joined us in watching Bengimen Button. um... the last thing i did today...this mornign was spend some time connecting with Amanda and Lauren some more tonight. but yeah all in all, it was a really chill day. so offically this will be my last blog until prob sunday or monday i'll be heading off on a mens retreat for the weekend.

1st real day of work

well, im writing this a day later, yesterday was a none stop day from the time I got up till the time I went to bed. but I liked it haha :) in the morning I did office hours, i complained about it alot but i actually did kind of like it. you know i just sat infront of a computer monitor and played on youtube all morning long. so that was pretty fun. next i had lunch with one of the other people who work here; Amanda. since ive been here me and her havent really had a chance to connect so it was good to get a chance to talk. after the office hours. Robert which I can't remember if have mentioned him yet. took me out around the city to visit our ministry partners, and we discussed "I.C.E" also known as inner city experience, its a one week intensive mission trip for other churches out of state too come and minister to the people of the city, that we lead. ...during this time we got lost haha. ive lived in burbs of baltimore all of my life, traveled throught the city countless times, and i couldnt remember how to get back to this side of town, from charles street haha. the last thing we did that night was go to the last night of camp meeting, which again i worked in childrens church. there were 35 kids there last night, and there was this one kid, his name was Matthew, he had they most energy!!! I decided to take him out running around the parking lot, to burn off some of his energy, but instead he tired me out, and the other adults...or something like that people who tried to tire him out as well. so to say the least when i got home, i crashed hard, the alarm clock went off this morning and it felt like i had just laid my head down to go to sleep. so thats the reason why i didnt get to blog about last night, but i will today or atleast monday, im heading out of the office for a wknd :)

This blog unfortunatly will be very short. its very late....very early in the morning. its currently 1:43 In the morning and I have office hours starting at 9 tommarrow...so yeah I defiently need to go to bed. haha. but this is what happened today

today was the meeting with Tim. it was just more of a debriefing about the DVD book assignment that he gave me and Mike to do last friday. Im starting to get more comfortable with Tim, i think because of all the stuff i heard about how tough Tim was I have put up a barrier around myself around him, but i think that, that barrier is begining to come down. this saturady Jun 6th is an awesome ministry experience called the convoy of hope. the Convoy will give thousands of grocieries away to the poor. however I currently do not have a....car :( so in lue of participating in this event Tim invited me to participate in the Mens retreat at his church. currently Mens retreat is what I am doing this weekend. I think it will be fun :) it will be interesting have a "life on Life" experience with people i barely know. on a personal note, i have found myself to become....um not as opening as I use to be, i now kinda have to feel people out before I can bare myself to them, i think that I have always been like this, but im just now starting to experience that I do this when I get around new and unfamiler things. I don't think that anyone knows this,...but how could they, I never new this. haha. following the meetings. the highlight of the day happend, and unfortunatly its not a happy high light. me and some of the people here went to play tennis, on the way there we were given a free lunch by the people of Shell gasoline...today was there customer apperication day. the gave us a free hotdog, soda, chips, and even Ice Cream. also during this time, if you bought gas you were able to swing a prize wheel, each one of us in the car were given that oppurtunity :) Mike my roomate and partner for the summer won a 10 dollar shell gift card! i won a tote bag, Lauren a student here won a hate, and heather the girl who i am about to address as the highlight won....a free bag of cookies.

ok. so after we aite at shell we went to play tennis. everything was going well, everyone was having fun when tragidity hit. Mike hit a volley and Heather tried to jump and hit it, however she jumped and fell and sprained her ankle. :( well after this we went to the hospital and stayed there till almost 6m; we never did make it too camp meeting tonight because of this. however its ok. origianlly we though that Heather may have broken here leg, God is good she only sprained it. and is home now resting...well everyone is resting, its almost 2 in the morining. and im heading there very soon as well..

today in the meeting Tim talked about what mentor is, and he shared this scripture. it talks about How our Lord, Jesus Christ grew in wisdom, and stature; meaning he[Jesus Christ] developed himself. and us as Christians have a mandadte to become more and more like him, and the only way we can is through discipleship.

"everyone falls in to four catagories D,C,B,A. the C's job is to pull up the D. the B's Job is pull up c's and the A has the responsibility to pull up the D,C and b's. Discipleship Mentoring is stoping in your progression, and pulling someone from down the road up with you. this is what discipleship is-Tim Houstin.

well today was a day off! but...i spent most of the day finishing up the mission mentor work that was assigned to me on friday. over 5 hours of mentor video work. no big deal :P then i fell asleep for a while. next i woke up and traveled to Church to participate in Camp Meeting. and helped out in Childrens Church. now im just finishing watching a bonus mentor cd

today were the students of the missions discipleship programs graduation. many of them who i met yesterday i may never see again. :(. today has been a pretty simple day. early morning staff meeting, which i complained about yesterday. I told myself last night that i was going to wake up at 5:50 and take a early shower and then spend time with Jesus before everyone else woke up; well my alarm went off, but i didint haha. i fell right back to sleep :P and woke up 45min later than i had planned. but really all i did today was serve as an usher during graduation and cleaned up. and that was it, its been a really chilled day. kinda boring, since everyone else is gone. but it gives me the oppurtunity for me to blast worship music and praise Jesus, like i am now, and not annoy anyone with my off pitch vocal adoration....bad singing. but you know days like today im sure will be very few and in between, so im not going to complain, im just going to enjoy the time i have to rest.

today has been a whirlwind. i woke up at 5:45 this morning to go to the gym and prepare for the busy day ahead. me and dad left out of the house later today than expected, I had a longer workout then previously expected.... when i arrived at the mission. it was one thing after another. from unpacking my lougage...which i still havent finshed yet; then having an overview meeting with Tim Houstin. Who is the Executive Director of the mission...my boss for the summer. at the meeting Tim asked me what are my strengeths and introduced me to my partener for this summer. Tim gave us a calendar of major events to be done during the summer from now until August!!!! 7 things to have planned and executed by the end of the summer. Tim told me that I've come at "flurry of a time" where the students are preparing to graduate tommarrow....the students graduate tommarrow....but thats another part of this story which ill explain later. during the meeting Tim was open to alot of questions...and as everyone knows I always have questions....Tim made a great comment when i told apoligized for asking so many questions, and he said "don't apologize for asking questions, questions just means you are hungry and interested." Tim told me and my partner for the summer that our actual big mission won't start until Aug 17th. and thats when all the rest of the summer session students will return back to begin. umm...what else....O! yeah before the meeting ended Tim gave me and Mike, which if i havent said...is my partner for the summer. Homework...hahaha. its a 5 week leadership development session. and he wants us to have it done by tuesday. its not really that bad. each session is only an hr. the only big issue is that our weekend is already really filled up! tommarrow (saturaday the 30th) is commencement and sunday is Metro Baltimore camp meeting! but im really excited about this...its at my local church! um...anything else...idk. um well i went too the movies today...and saw night at the museum 2. it was legit. I think that the first movie was better however i don't think that it topped the original one.

well i have a staff meeting at 8 in the morning tommarrow so...yeah im going to go to bed.

to be honest. im nervious about this summer. leading not a problem. but mentoring...its a new field 4 me. Tim told us today that this is a soil and a place to make mistakes and grow. and im pretty sure that during this summer im going to mess up...but just as God told Jeremiah that he is with him, im going to just lean on God and hope when i do mess up, that i'll let God take care of my development.

haha. if ur really interested in my fears of this call me, and ill try to explain. but beyond the fear also rises just pure joy and excitment about pooring into peoples lives and advancing the Kingdom.
